Authorities have identified the man who was shot and killed inside a home on Friday night in Chicago’s Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood.
Kazeem Jinadu, 49, was found fatally shot at approximately 10:21 p.m. at a home along East 72nd Street near South Martin Luther King Drive, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. Police said officers responded to a call of a person who had been shot inside a residence and found the man identified as Jinadu, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, and a gun was recovered, police said.
While it wasn’t immediately clear if Jinadu resided at the location, his address matches the block where the shooting occurred. Area One detectives were investigating.
