Semi-truck crash blocks all lanes of Interstate 80 near Shorewood

A jackknifed semi-truck blocked multiple lanes of traffic on Interstate 80 in suburban Shorewood Sunday.

According to an update from Illinois State Police, the crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of the highway near the Interstate 55 interchange on Sunday morning.

All eastbound lanes of the roadway were blocked by the crash, as was one westbound lane of the highway, according to police.

Lanes have since reopened, according to Total Traffic.

There were no immediate reports of injuries, and crews are on-scene for an investigation and crash cleanup.
