A “wild” new indoor playground for families and kids called “Lava Island” is coming to the northwest suburbs.
The 30,000 square foot indoor play place, with an immersive jungle gym, trampolines, foam pits, tricycle track and “famous volcano slide” will soon open in suburban Kildeer, according to a release.
“With construction nearly complete and doors set to open this fall, the countdown to Illinois’ hottest new destination for family fun is officially ON,” the release said.
The new venue, at 20771 N. Rand Road, will be Lava Island’s 10th location in total. Other Lava Island parks are already open in Colorado, Montana, Arizona, Connecticut, Minnesota and Georgia, the release said.
The “tropical-themed” indoor playground will have a number of play areas for kids of all ages, ranging from toddlers to teens, the release said, with adults also encouraged to partake. The center will also have multiple themed rooms for birthday parties, food available for purchase and more.
A grand opening date was not immediately available. According to the Lava Island website, an additional Lava Island is set to come to Brookfield, Wisconsin.
