Fire breaks out at apartment building in Koreatown

Fire crews responded to a building fire in Koreatown Wednesday.

The fire broke out inside a three-story vacant apartment building on New Hampshire Avenue near Vermont Avenue at around 5:20 p.m., fire officials said.

Heavy flames and smoke were reported inside one of the units.

The Los Angeles Fire Department requested additional resources to put out the flames.
