Officers chased a driver in a stolen work truck on freeways north of Los Angeles Thursday before the pursuit came to an end on the 14 Freeway.
The pickup was loaded with what appeared to be traffic signs and orange road markers in the bed with a message board mounted on the roof. The truck’s door logos indicated it belongs to Traffic Management.
The truck was stolen at about 9:30 a.m. near Western and Franklin avenues in Hollywood.
The chase was on the 5 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley before continuing north and onto the 14 Freeway into the Santa Clarita area. At one point in the Palmdale area, a sedan slowed and eventually stopped in front of the truck, which briefly stopped before continuing the chase.
It was not immediately clear whether the sedan driver was a law enforcement officer.
