Stolen school bus located in Lakewood 2 weeks after theft

Authorities recovered a school bus that was stolen two weeks ago, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Friday.

The bus that belongs to a private school bus company was spotted by the sheriff’s department’s helicopter.

After tracking it for a few minutes, deputies pulled it over and detained the driver in Whittier near the Washington exit on the 605 Freeway.

NewsChopper4 was overhead when the female driver appeared to be questioned by deputies.

There were no children inside the bus.
