A burglar disabled a doorbell security camera Sunday morning and stole about $120,000 in jewelry from a Studio City home, the LAPD tells NBC4 Investigates.
After disabling the camera, the thief smashed a glass door to enter the residence in the 4400 block of Irvine Avenue. Once inside, the burglar ransacked the home.
The homeowner was not home when police responded at about 1 p.m. after someone called the LAPD for an open door investigation. The resident arrived home Sunday night to discover the missing jewelry and police took a burglary report.
No arrests were reported early Monday.
