Light rain is possible Tuesday afternoon in parts of Los Angeles County as a weak spring storm moves through the region.
The system also will produce strong winds, especially inland. Expect strong gusts in the mountains, including along the 5 Freeway north of Los Angeles.
“Most areas are going to stay dry,” said NBC4 meteorologist Belen De Leon. “The bigger impact is going to be the winds.”
Most of the rain will stay to the north. Any rain that does fall in the Los Angeles area will be light with totals reaching one-third of an inch or less. Higher amounts are possible in the mountains.
Clouds will increase by midday with light showers in the afternoon. By Tuesday evening, rain will taper off.
Temperatures will dip with highs below normal. Warmer conditions are in Wednesday’s forecast.
“Big changes from what we had yesterday,” De Leon said. “The temperatures, you’re going to feel the difference.”
