Authorities ID man found dead in south suburban home

A man who was found dead at a home in south suburban Oak Forest was identified on Sunday, authorities said.

At approximately 6:20 p.m. on Friday, Oak Forest fire and police personnel were called to a home in the 15000 block of Sunset Avenue for a non-responsive person, city officials said in a news release.

A 69-year-old man was located inside the house and later pronounced dead. He was identified as Oak Forest resident Michael Arnold.

The Oak Forest Police Department and the South Suburban Major Crimes Unit are conducting an investigation into the death. Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator David Lowisz at 708-687-1376.
