Three people are in custody in connection with a break-in at a home in Burbank, thanks in part to a neighbor who quickly alerted police.
The incident happened in the 2700 block of Scott Road at around 7:30 p.m., according to the Burbank Police Department.
No one was home at the time, police said, but a neighbor saw two people in the process of breaking into the home and called 911, prompting them to take off.
When officers arrived, they saw two people jumping over a wall into the back of a home on Jolley Drive. The department’s K-9 team was deployed and found one of the suspects hiding in the bushes. The other suspect surrendered, police said.
Police are investigating how the third person in custody is related to the incident, but say they could be a possible getaway driver.
The suspects shattered a window to get into the home, police said. It is unclear what, if anything, was taken from the residence.
