Two people were injured in a four-vehicle crash during the busy Wednesday morning commute on the inbound Kennedy Expressway on the North Side.
The crash happened around 6:25 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 90 at Division Street, Illinois state police said.
Two people were taken to area hospitals with injuries, state police said.
The left three lanes were temporarily closed but reopened around 6:55 a.m., officials said.
The cause of the crash wasn’t immediately known.
As of 7 a.m., the crash was cleared but heavy traffic and backups remained, with TrafficNet reporting drive time delays up to 35 minutes.
