Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) have arrested a person who is suspected of stealing $4 million worth of goods from cargo freight in Vernon.
The stolen cargo freight included goods, including nicotine pouches, television, shoes, printers, data center cooling equipment, speakers and skincare cosmetics, according to the LASD.
Eight companies, ALP Drifter Nicotine, Footlocker, Epson, Deepcool AI, Renkus-Heinz and Medicube AUlta Beauty, were affected by the theft.
The suspect was arrested and booked on receiving stolen property charges.
Detectives are working with other law enforcement agencies and retail crime task forces as well as federal authorities to track down retail theft suspects and recover stolen goods, the LASD said.
