One person was killed and two others were hurt following an overnight shooting near South Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
The shooting was reported just before 2 a.m. on the 1600 block of Firestone Boulevard, LASD said. There, one person was killed at the scene. Two other people, who were not shot, were hospitalized for unspecified injuries. The severity of their injuries is unclear.
Details on what led up to the shooting remain under investigation.
LASD did not say if a gunman is outstanding. The department did not release the name of the victim.
