Football fans taking bets on who will win the Super Bowl on Sunday may want to take note of a prediction made by an eight-legged Chicago-area local with a track record for guessing what team will take home the championship win.
A tarantula named Charlotte at the Brookfield Zoo crawled out to her football field this week to predict what team will win the 2026 Super Bowl on Sunday.
The Seattle Seahawks will face the New England Patriots around 5 p.m. Sunday, with the game airing on NBC and available to stream on Peacock.
So, what team did Charlotte pick to win?
She predicted “the Seahawks take it all,” Brookfield Zoo said in a release.
Seahawks fans may be in luck this year as Charlotte accurately predicted the Eagles would win the 2025 Super Bowl, the zoo said.
“She seems to be favoring animal-inspired mascots again, though maybe her choice is instinctual—after all, tarantulas know a thing or two about dodging birds, one of their top predators in the wild,” Brookfield Zoo said in a statement.
