With less than half of the competition left, many fans of the Olympics are looking ahead to the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics.
This epic grand finale to the 2026 Winter Olympics is titled “Beauty in Action,” and will celebrate “Italian culture, creativity and the unity of sport, art and beauty” through a reflection on the connection between Italian mountains and cities, according to NBC.

The Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics is set for Sunday, February 22.
The closing ceremony is scheduled to kick off at 1:30 p.m. CT.

The live coverage of the program will be available NBC, Peacock, NBC Chicago’s streaming channel and NBC Olympics platforms.
How long is the Closing Ceremony?
After the final medals of the 2026 Winter Olympics are awarded, the Closing Ceremony is expected to last approximately two and a half hours.
What happens during the Closing Ceremony?
Like the Opening Ceremony, the Closing Ceremony features spectacular performances.
Inspired heavily by Italy’s impact on culture and art, the Closing Ceremony will showcase a “fusion of opera, music, dance, cinema, design and technology” while celebrating the Italian affinity for creativity and putting “aesthetics into emotion,” according to NBC.
