Target is expanding its strategy to reach new and expecting parents.
The Minnesota-based retailer on Tuesday announced the launch of its “Baby Boutique” in nearly 200 stores, including nine in Illinois. Billed “thoughtfully designed, specialty-style shopping experience,” the boutique will feature nearly 2,000 new products.
Target said the selection includes “thoughtfully-curated new items and exclusive finds guests won’t see anywhere else,” such as:
- New items from Wildbird, Lalo, Toddlekind and Wonder & Wise
- Wellness offerings from Nemah, Tubby Todd, Freestyle and Amara
- National brand exclusives including Joie, Upseat, Nanit and Hey Tiger
- Expanded offerings from Little Spoon
- Hundreds of new items from Cloud Island and Good & Gather
The boutiques will feature more interactive displays, allowing parents to compare big-ticket items, including car seats and strollers, side-by-side.
“With curated products and more interactive displays, parents can approach big purchases with less guesswork and more confidence,” the company said in a news release.
Target also announced the expansion of its free appointment-based baby concierge service to stores — to help parents answer questions on bassinets, monitors and more.
The “Baby Boutique” will launch in stores in March, and will refresh online on March 15.
It will be available at the following locations in Illinois:
- Algonquin
- Chicago (Elston)
- Joliet
- Lombard
- Naperville
- Oswego
- Schaumburg
- St. Charles
- Wheaton
