Former Chicago Bears defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson has signed with the Buffalo Bills.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the deal is worth $6 million, and will be in effect for one season.
In 10 games with the Bears last season, Gardner-Johnson registered two interceptions and 35 tackles, including five for loss.
He’s the latest Bears defensive back to leave the team, with Pro Bowler Kevin Byard III signing with the New England Patriots and cornerback Nahshon Wright signing with the New York Jets.
The Bears have worked to replace their departed safeties, inking Coby Bryant from the Seattle Seahawks and Cam Lewis from the Bills to contracts.
Jaquan Brisker also reportedly signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday.
