A West Coast-based sandwich chain that recently opened two locations in Chicago is now expanding for the first time into the surrounding suburbs.
Popular for its fresh sandwiches and salads, Mendocino Farms is set to open in Vernon Hills next week.
The new location at 913 N. Milwaukee Ave. opens at 10:30 a.m. on April 21.
Mendocino Farms first came to the area in late August when it opened a location in River North before opening a second restaurant inside Willis Tower in the winter. The soon-to-open Vernon Hills spot is the only other location in Illinois where you can snag their sandwiches, salads and delicious sides.
You can get a free entree by signing up for a “My Mendo” account and selecting Chicago-Vernon Hills as your favorite location, according to the Mendocino Farms website.
Menu items and details on the new store can be found here.
