A new reward is being offered for information in the fatal hit-and-run that took the life of a 15-year-old who was riding a scooter in South Shore last month.
According to Cook County Crime Stoppers, a $1,000 reward is being offered in connection to the death of Violet Harris, who was killed as she rode a scooter along East 77th Street near South Blackstone Avenue on Saturday, March 21.
An eyewitness told NBC Chicago a driver was speeding along the street when they struck Violet, and then they fled the scene.
The vehicle is described as a black Ford Fusion, though license plate numbers weren’t immediately available.
