A child sustained life-threatening injuries after they were struck by a driver in a western suburb of Chicago on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
Around 4:11 p.m., Aurora police and fire departments responded to the 400 block of Titsworth Court for a report of a child that was struck by a car.
The child sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and was taken to a trauma center for advanced care, authorities said.
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation, according to police.
The crash remains under investigation by Aurora police.
No additional information was immediately available.
