You know you’ve made it when the Wiener’s Circle has something to say.
Not long after the Chicago Bears used their first round, 25th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft to select Oregon safety Dillion Thieneman, the iconic hot dog stand came out with an offer the 21-year-old hopefully doesn’t refuse.
“If this kid takes his shirt off, the city gets more free dogs,” the restaurant said in a post on social media Thursday night, along with a photo highlighting Theineman’s stats, particularly drawing attention to his 40-yard-dash time. “Welcome to chi young freak.”
Theineman, who grew up in a suburb of Indianapolis, originally started his career playing at Purdue, with his two older brothers also playing football at the school. He transferred to Oregon as a junior for more exposure and tougher opponents, NBC 5 sports anchor Lou Cannelis said.
The post comes after the famous Chicago spot said it would give away free hot dogs during the 2025 Bears’ season if head coach Ben Johnson took his shirt off following a Bears victory.
Earlier in the season, the Wiener’s Circle made good on another free hot dog promise, with thousands handed out after quarterback Caleb Williams threw four touchdowns in a game against the Detroit Lions.
The terms of The Wiener’s Circle latest deal weren’t immediately clear. The 2026 NFL Draft continues Friday, with the Bears at picks No. 57 and 60.
