Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker will suspend public events next week following a medical procedure, the governor’s office said on Friday.
A spokesperson said the governor underwent a routine outpatient urology procedure on Friday, and next week will “fulfill his duties and pause public events while resting.”
“The Governor is grateful for well-wishes and looks forward to resuming public events soon,” the spokesperson added.
