Those who grew up in the 1980s and 1990s undoubtedly remember getting free pizza for reading books, and kids will again get that opportunity this summer.
According to Pizza Hut officials, the company will once again bring back its “BOOK IT: Summer of Stories” reading program this year, encouraging children to read by offering them up free pizzas during the summer months.
Last year Pizza Hut rolled out the “BOOK IT” mobile app to help parents set reading goals for their kids, and the program will again use the app this summer, according to the company’s website.
Parents can set reading goals for their children during the months of June, July and August, according to the mobile app. If their child hits those goals, they will receive one free single-topping personal pan pizza at participating Pizza Hut locations.
Children in grades kindergarten through sixth grade are eligible to participate in the program, according to the company.
More information can be found on the company’s website.
