San Diego County Sheriff’s deputies searching for 2 felony suspects in Lakeside

Deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office are looking for two felony suspects near Beachtree and Laurel streets in Lakeside on Tuesday afternoon.

The first suspect is described as a 5 feet 6 inches tall, medium build man, 16-20 years old, wearing a hat, a black sweatshirt with a logo on the front, black sweatpants, black and white shoes, SDSO wrote on X at 3:53 p.m.

The second suspect is 5 feet 8 inches tall, medium build, also 16-20 years old, wearing a gray shirt and black pants and no shoes.

SDSO is warning the public that the suspects may be armed. If anyone sees the suspects, they are asked to call 911.

Several SDSO vehicles and deputies could be seen in the area on an overhead view from SkyRanger 7.

Lakeside’s El Capitan High School is on a precautionary lockdown due to police activity, according to the Grossmont Union High School District.

Principal Carrie Gaeir released a statement on Tuesday afternoon stating that all students and staff are safe.

By 4:35 p.m., sheriff’s deputies were continuing to investigate, the agency wrote on X.
