Day three of the Milan Cortina Games started with a showdown between China’s Eileen Gu and Switzerland’s Mathilde Gremaud in the women’s freestyle skiing slopestyle event. Ultimately, reigning gold medalist Gremaud prevailed with Gu taking home silver.
Switzerland took home another gold in the men’s alpine skiing team combined event.
Curlers Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin took Team USA to the mixed doubles semifinals for the first time ever. Ice dance favorites Madison Chock and Evan Bates landed in 2nd place on the leaderboard for the rhythm dance team event. The U.S. ended the day with a 5-0 win over Switzerland in women’s hockey.
