San Diego police investigation closes Midway Drive in both directions

San Diego police closed Midway Drive in both directions in the Midway District on Wednesday afternoon for an investigation, urging drivers to avoid Midway Drive between East Drive and Wing Street.

The closure involves a possibly armed and barricaded suspect, the San Diego Police Department said.

People were urged to use alternate routes in the area, SDPD wrote on X at 11:59 a.m.
