East Village e-bike crash causes life-threatening injuries, traffic delays

A person was left with life-threatening injuries after an e-bike crash near Island Avenue and 11th Avenue in San Diego’s East Village on Thursday night.

Police advised the public to avoid the area and expect traffic delays as officers investigate the scene, the San Diego Police Department wrote on X at 7:13 p.m.

Only one victim was involved in the crash, SDPD Officer Anthony Carrasco told NBC 7.
