All lanes of southbound I-805 near I-8 closed after semi-truck catches fire

Multiple lanes of southbound Interstate 805 were closed early Tuesday after a semi-truck caught on fire in the Mission Valley area.

The fire was reported at around 6:10 a.m. on I-805 near the Interstate 8 freeway just south of Murray Ridge Road.

The California Highway Patrol advised drivers to divert to SR-163 if they wanted to continue going southbound.
