A semi-truck flipped over onto its side on Wednesday afternoon, causing traffic to pile up behind it on southbound Interstate 15 in San Diego near the Friars Road exit in San Diego.
SkyRanger 7 overhead showed several fire trucks, police cars and an ambulance responded to the incident. The Friars Road exit appeared blocked as well. It is not yet known when the exit will be reopened.
The collision is blocking southbound the third, fourth and fifth lanes, Caltrans wrote on X at 2:11 p.m.
It was not clear what led to the crash. No other information was immediately available.
