A man was shot and killed in a Prince George’s County restaurant and lounge late Monday night, according to police.
At 11:50 p.m., police got a call from people inside of Ebony Inn in Fairmount Heights. Ebony Inn is a barbecue restaurant that has a lounge/club attached to it.
The people were calling from inside of a freezer and said there was a shooting, according to a dispatch call. They ran inside the freezer and locked themselves in when shots first rang out.
According to the dispatch call, they said there was an argument that led up to the shooting.
When police arrived to the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A dark colored SUV was towed away just before police cleared the scene.
No arrests have been made so far, according to police. It is unclear if the man who was killed worked at Ebony Inn or was a customer there. Police are investigating what led to the shooting and looking for a suspect.
