Hundreds gather outside White House to protest fatal ICE shooting in Minn.

Nationwide protests were held Saturday in response to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) shooting in Minneapolis, where American citizen Renee Good was killed.

Hundreds of people came out to the streets in D.C. to make their voices heard during what’s being called the “ICE Out for Good Weekend of Action.”

The protest started at 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Lafayette Square, and the group started marching around the White House toward the former Black Lives Matter Plaza a little before 2 p.m.

The protesters showed their disapproval of ICE activities across the country and hope to send a strong message to the Trump administration.

“They need to be out here,” Nadine Seiler, one of the protesters, told News4. “The only way for this administration to stop what they are doing is for people to be out on the streets and let them know that this is not acceptable”.

There were also protests Saturday in other communities in Maryland and Virginia, not just in the District. There are more planned for Sunday as well.
