4 things to know about the weather:
- Tuesday: Mix to rain, warming
- Wednesday: Warm, scattered showers
- Thursday: Partly sunny, showers
- Friday: Very mild
We’ve got plenty of cloud cover Tuesday as temperatures continue to rise to the morning into the mid- to upper 40s.
A weather advisory will continue for the early morning hours, but will expire by 9 a.m. for all locations in D.C., Maryland and Virginia. We will see this wintry mix eventually switching over to just plain rain.
Some schools are starting on time and others are getting delays. Prince George’s County Public Schools will be going to school on time after reversing a decision to open on a two-hour delay Tuesday.

Expect scattered showers throughout the day with another wave of steady rain throughout the afternoon and into the evening. There could be some rain leading into the overnight as well as temperatures fall into the 40s and 50s.

Milder, spring temperatures are coming
Expect a few showers around for Wednesday as temperatures rise into the upper 50s. By Thursday and Friday, temperatures are back in the 70s with some chances of rain as frontal systems linger nearby the area.
It seems we are dry for Saturday with plenty of sun. Temperatures will top out in the upper 70s by Sunday with a chance for some showers and even some thunderstorms.
That warm spell should last well into next week.
