The No. 1 pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft is…
For the second straight season, the Dallas Wings were in the spotlight with the first pick. Last year, it was an easy choice with UConn star Paige Bueckers highlighting the class.
This year, fellow Huskies guard Azzi Fudd was in the mix to go first overall, as well as UCLA center Lauren Betts, Spanish center Awa Fam and TCU guard Olivia Miles. Dallas eventually went with UConn picks back to back, taking Fudd to pair with Bueckers.
UCLA made history with six total players being selected, passing the previous mark of five. Five Bruins went in the first round alone to cap a record night.
Two new expansion teams in the Toronto Tempo and Portland Fire also made their first ever picks as they start play this season.
