The Washington Commanders unveiled their redesigned uniforms for the 2026 season Wednesday morning, including a new alternate look, the “Hail Raiser.”
The franchise reintroduces Super Bowl-era uniforms for its classic burgundy and white jerseys with the two-striped pants to match. The burgundy helmet will feature the signature three-stripe pattern.
The “Hail Raiser” alternative uniform is an all-black ensemble paired with a black helmet that features the new W logo with a spear interwoven into it.
“The inclusion of the spear and its sharpest point – the spearhead or “tip of the spear” – symbolizes the top
fighters, the front lines, those leading a mission who are unafraid to step into the fire,” the official press release said.
The franchise says the spear is a “joining of the past and present” and embodies the “identity of the Commander: a leader of warriors.”
