Someone attacked two people — killing one of them — near a Metro station in Prince George’s County, Maryland, Thursday morning.
The victims were found near the entrance to the Addison Road Metro station near Seat Pleasant about 5:15 a.m., police said. A man died, and another victim is expected to survive their injuries.
A suspect was taken into custody, police said. The motive is unknown.
Investigators spent hours documenting the scene and collecting evidence, including what a pipe that appeared to be the potential murder weapon
The station was closed temporarily during the active investigation.
Metro Transit Police said in a statement that the suspect did not use the Metro system before the attack.
