Gunman shot woman and man in Southeast then killed himself, police say

A man shot and wounded a woman and man in Anacostia on Tuesday evening then shot and killed himself, authorities say.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2000 block of Mount View Place SE at about 6:55 p.m. and found the woman and man suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospitals for injuries described as non-life-threatening, D.C. police said. No information was released on the extent of their injuries.

As officers canvassed the area, they found a wounded man in the 1300 block of Morris Road SE, a few blocks from where the woman and man were found. The second man was pronounced dead, and a gun was found.

Brandon Orland Blanco Viloria, of Seattle, is believed to have shot the woman and man in a “domestic related incident” then killed himself, police said. He was 25.

An investigation is underway. Anyone with potentially relevant information is asked to contact police.
