Buses crash head-on near Pentagon

Two buses appear to have crashed head-on near the Pentagon.

Images show the Fairfax Connector and OmniRide buses in a bus loop south of the Pentagon. The crash occurred at about 8 a.m., according to independent journalist Dave Statter, who captured video of fire crews responding.

The crash did not appear to have occurred at high speed.

Fairfax County’s Department of Transportation confirmed that a Connector bus was involved in a crash. They said Pentagon police are investigating. News4 is working to learn more.
