A D.C. woman was shot and killed in a park in Temple Hills, and her three children lost their mother.
Juanita Frazier was found fatally shot in Oxon Run Community Park on Tuesday night. She was 38.
Prince George’s County police are working to find her killer as her family’s grieves.
“I love my sister,” Tamika Frazier said. “That was my only sister. I don’t have any other siblings.”
“I try not to keep my mind on it, because it just happened so suddenly,” she said.
Juanita Frazier was found shot in a parking lot at about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday. Police have released few details on the case so far. Investigators said they’re searching for a suspect.
“My cousin was murdered. She didn’t die, she didn’t die in her sleep, she didn’t go out – she was murdered, you know?” cousin Dionne Milli said.
Juanita Frazier was born and raised in D.C. and had three daughters, ages 20, 15 and 14. Her sister and cousin will step in to care for them.
The family said they want her to be remembered for the impact she had on her loved ones, including her young niece.
“She was a great auntie, and I always love her, and I love my cousins too, and she’s in a good place where she’s supposed to be,” Asti Zanders said.
Juanita Frazier’s family is planning her funeral. Anyone with potentially relevant information is asked to contact police.
