Man struck and killed by car in Southwest Philly on Wednesday night, police say

A man was struck and killed by a car near a Popeyes in Southwest Philly on Wednesday night, police said.

The crash happened at around 7:47 p.m. at the 5100 block of Woodland Avenue, police said.

The man struck was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

SkyForce10 was over the scene to find police investigating near a car stopped on the sidewalk outside of a Popeyes.

The man killed and the driver involved have not yet been identified, but police said the driver remained at the scene and the incident is under investigation.
