Police said an investigation is ongoing after a woman was shot in Tredyffrin Township, in Chester County, on Saturday night.
According to police, the incident happened at about 10:45 p.m. on Saturday in the area of Old State Road and Contention Lane.
On social media, officials confirmed a woman had been shot, but did not immediately provide additional information on her condition or any further identifying information.
But, officials are asking anyone who may have video surveillance of that area, from about the time the incident occurred, to contact the Tredyffrin Township Police Department at 610-644-3221.
Police have said they will provide updates as more information becomes available.
An investigation, officials said, is ongong.
