After being closed following a deadly parking garage collapse in Philly’s Grays Ferry community that left three workers dead and injured two others, roadways near the site of the collapse reopened on Tuesday.
And, a Fresh Grocer store, located in the Grays Ferry Shopping Center near the site of the collapse that happened near the intersection of 30th Street and Grays Ferry Avenue, was expected to re-open at noon on Tuesday.
Philadelphia’s Office of Emergency Management posted information about the reopenings on social media on Tuesday morning.
DETOUR UPDATE: Grays Ferry Avenue is reopened from Washington Avenue to 29th Street. Grays Ferry Shopping Center stores and parking lot are open and can be accessed via 29th Street. According to the office, Grays Ferry Avenue has reopened from Washington Avenue to 29th Street.
The office also said that stores in the Grays Ferry Shopping Center that re-open, and the parking lot there, are able to be accessed through 29th Street.
Contacted Tuesday morning, a representative of the Fresh Grocer at that shopping center told NBC10 that the store was set to open at noon on Tuesday.
