Pennsylvania State Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect accused of stealing credit cards from vehicles and making purchases at multiple stores while riding around on an electric scooter.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, on March 8, 2026, an unknown suspect removed credit cards from inside several vehicles parked near 100 Campbell Ford Road in Union Township, Berks County. The vehicles had been parked in the area for a half-marathon.
Shortly after the theft, police said the suspect used the victim’s credit cards at Walmart, Home Depot and Best Buy stores in Wyomissing. The unauthorized charges totaled over $5,700.
Police said that the suspect had arrived at the retail stores on an electric scooter.
Investigators shared photos of the suspect and also indicated that the suspect has a slight limp in their left leg.
