One of the largest and fastest-growing Pride celebrations in the country will be held in a new location this summer.
Philly Pride 365 announced that its 2026 Pride Festival on Sunday June 7th, will take place on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
Organizers shared that this transition aligns with the City of Brotherly Love preparing to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.
“Pride has always been about visibility and advocacy,” Founder and Executive Director of Philly Pride 365 Tyrell Brown said in a news release. “In a moment where the country is reflecting on democracy, it is critical that LGBTQIA+ people are not just included in that story, but are visible within it. Hosting Pride on the Parkway places our community at the heart of that narrative.”
An estimated 147,000 people attended the 2025 festival, which had taken place in the city’s Gayborhood, and organizers stated that the move to the parkway aims to provide the capacity, accessibility, and operational framework necessary to safely host an event of this size.
“With that level of growth comes responsibility,” Brown added. “We are thinking about safety, accessibility, and how to create a space where our community can gather freely and securely. The Parkway allows us to do that in a way that meets the moment.”
The move is also rooted in making sure LGBTQIA+ communities are not confined to a single neighborhood, organizers shared.
“This is not about leaving the Gayborhood,” said Brown. “It is about expanding Pride across the city while continuing to invest in the spaces that have long been home to our community.”
Organizers said the Pride Festival will transform the parkway with high-energy stages packed with nonstop live entertainment, alongside a vibrant lineup of food trucks, expansive beer gardens and family-friendly activities.
Festival admission is $10, and tickets will be available for purchase at a later date, along with information on VIP packages.
Those experiencing financial hardship may receive free entrance to the festival grounds through various community partnerships, to be announced at a later time, organizers shared.
