The crash of a Delaware State Police cruiser led to road closures ahead of rush hour in Rockland, Delaware, on Thursday.
According to police, Rockland Road at Mt. Lebanon Road was closed for the crash investigation.
As spotted by NBC10’s SkyForce10 at about 8 a.m. on Thursday, a Delaware State Police cruiser could be seen after seemingly having stuck a barrier along Rockland Road in Rockland. The vehicle’s airbags were deployed and there was significant damage visible to the front end of the cruiser.
Contacted Thursday morning, police did not immediately provide information about how the crash occurred and did not say if anyone was injured in this incident.
But, officials said, an investigation into the crash was ongoing.
