A man was taken to a hospital in critical condition after being shot multiple times early Friday morning in Northeast Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
Just after 3 a.m., officers responded to a radio call reporting an armed person and a shooting on the 1300 block of Stirling Street, in the city’s Castor Gardens neighborhood.
When police arrived, officers found a man lying on the pavement suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his left thigh and left shin.
The man was transported to Jefferson Einstein Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. According to police, he was taken into surgery shortly after he arrived at the hospital.
Investigators were still trying to determine a motive for the shooting.
No arrests have been made.
The investigation is ongoing.
