Police shot a man who had shot a woman multiple times in Chester, Pennsylvania, officials said.
On Wednesday, April 22, around 8:30 p.m., Chester Police responded to 9th and Walnut streets for a report of a domestic incident involving a woman screaming for help.
Investigators determined a man shot a woman at the location and continued to fire at anyone passing by before police arrived. The man then aimed his gun at the responding officers who pulled out their own weapons and opened fire, shooting the gunman, according to investigators.
Both the man and woman were taken to local hospitals and are both listed in critical condition. Police have not revealed the man’s identity or his exact relationship with the woman.
