Joseph Salvatore Merlino, aka “Skinny Joey,” is expanding his cheesesteak empire from South Philadelphia to the Jersey Shore.
In a social media post, Merlino shared that Skinny Joey’s Cheesesteaks is coming to the Wildwood Boardwalk.
The new shop will be located on Magnolia Avenue, and is expected to open later this summer.
A job fair is scheduled for May 9 as hiring begins for the new location. The shop is looking for cooks, managers, pizza makers and counter staff.
The first, Skinny Joey’s Cheesesteaks, is located on South Broad Street, in the heart of South Philadelphia, just steps away from the sports complex.
