Delco town puts like-new street sweeper up for auction. Here’s how you could take it home

Darby Township in Delaware County is auctioning off one of theirs.

A spokesperson for the community says that the 2024 Elgin Pelican NP JD Dual, Tier 4F street sweeper is in like-new condition and would be suitable for a road maintenance company.

The online auction is open to the public from now through Wednesday, April 6, 2026.

As of Thursday evening, 21 bids have been placed and the highest bid has been recorded at $62,000.

The town’s Board of Commissioners will approve the sale to the highest bidder at the end of the auction.

All proceeds from the auction are going back to Darby Township to improve the community.
