Con Edison says it is investigating after a yellow SUV taxi cab got caught dangling above a manhole in Times Square Thursday night.
Video showed the cab stuck over a manhole with steam coming out, at West 42nd Street and Broadway around 7 p.m. A vent appeared lodged under the front tires.
The cab driver and a passenger weren’t hurt, officials said.
It’s unclear at this point what caused the incident. The area was shut down Friday as crews worked on repairs.
No injuries and no power outages were reported, Con Ed said.
