Deposed Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro makes his first appearance Monday in a U.S. court on the narco-terrorism charges the Trump administration used to justify capturing him and bringing him to New York.
Maduro and his wife were transported from jail in Brooklyn to a Manhattan courtroom before rush hour.
He appeared to give Chopper 4 a “thumbs up” as he was removed from a vehicle on his journey. The court hearing is expected to start around noon.
